Graduate Students Elizabeth M. Armstrong (Sociology and Social Work joint program) and Jay Borchert (Sociology) have been selected for the Institute for Research on Women & Gender's (IRWG) Community of Scholars Fellowship for the summer 2012.

The Community of Scholars is a four-month summer fellowship program intended to support UM graduate students who are engaged in research, scholarship or other creative activities that focus on women and/or gender.  This cross-disciplinary group will participate in a weekly seminar during May and June and then conduct their research in and out of Ann Arbor during July and August.  Awardees will present their work at a public symposium during the Fall semester.
