Dr. Selma Raljevic is an Assistant Professor of American, English and Comparative literatures at the Faculty of Humanities of Dzemal Bijedic University of Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is currently a Weiser Professional Development Fellow at the University of Michigan.  She received her doctoral degree in Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy of Sarajevo University, BiH in 2013. Her PhD dissertation examines a comparative literature topic: “Modernism, Alienation and Disintegration in Selected Works by William Faulkner and Mehmed Mesa Selimovic”. Her primary interests are American Modernism, Contemporary American Literature (with an emphasis on the contemporary American novel) and Comparative Literature.
