On April 23, several SAC students received Hopwood and other writing awards at the Graduate and Undergraduate Hopwood Awards Ceremony in the Rackham Amphitheater. 



Chad Rhiness won a Hopwood Screenplay Award and $3,500 for his screenplay “13.1.”




 

Michael Toner won a Hopwood Screenplay Award and $3,500 for his screenplay “Hunter.”

 

 




 

Matthew Montgomery won a Kasdan Scholarship in Creative Writing and $4,500 for his screenplay “The Hard Stuff.”

 

 




 

Anna Baumgarten and Josh Schwartz won the Frank and Gail Beaver Script Writing Prize and $500 each for their short script "Imagine Someone New."

  

 

 

 

 

Carly Keyes won a Hopwood Undergraduate Nonfiction Award and $3,000 for “Anonymous No More: Eccentric Essays from an Addict in Recovery.”
