The Physics Help Room Schedule for Winter 2024 is linked below. You will need to be signed in with your University of Michigan Google account to view the schedule. Additional information about instructor or Learning Assistant hours can be found on the Canvas pages of each course.
The Physics Department encourages students taking introductory physics courses to utilize the following resources:
- Physics Help Room (1416 Randall Lab)
- Graduate students, undergraduate students, and faculty are available to help students who are taking Introductory Physics classes (150/151; 250/251; 140/141; 240/241)
- The Help Room hours of operation vary by term and are subject to change. The hours for the Winter 2024 term are:
- Opens for the term on Tuesday, January 16th at 10:00 AM and closes on Friday, April 26th at 5:00 PM
- Closed for Spring Break (Feb. 24th at noon through March 1)
- The Help Room is generally open Monday-Thursday from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM and Friday from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

- Provides practice problems from past physics exams

- Society of Physics Students (SPS)
- Student run organization for anyone interested in physics
- Offers tutoring in the Physics Help Room during the fall and winter terms
- Find a list of private physics tutors on the SPS tutoring website
In addition, there is also the Science Learning Center (1720 Chemistry) that provides study groups for intro physics courses.
