MCTP Special Workshop
Micro Dark Matter Workshop

Thursday, January 28, 2010
12:00 AM
3481 Randall Lab (Oskar Klein Conference Room)

The workshop is from January 28-30 and is by invitation only.

There are multiple fields where data has the potential to impact theory in a significant way in the next year. One field is Dark Matter, where in addition to the direct searches (whose limits continue to improve rapidly), there are potential signals (e.g. PAMELA) of Dark Matter annihilation that have been observed. A second area is theories of the weak scale, where the initial data from the LHC will have a major impact. This workshop is bringing together ~5 experts from outside in each of these fields for about 4 days to try and make progress via broader knowledge and enhanced interactions.
