I already have insurance that covers me while I am abroad. Do I still need to buy the U-M Travel Abroad Health Insurance?

Yes. There are no exceptions to the requirement to purchase U-M Travel Abroad Health Insurance. You still need to purchase the U-M insurance.

My placement company requires that I purchase their insurance. Do I still need to buy the U-M Travel Abroad Health Insurance?

Most of the placement companies that we work with will waive the insurance requirement for U-M students who have purchased U-M Travel Abroad Health Insurance. There are no exceptions to the requirement to purchase the U-M insurance.

I don’t know where I am going to be living while on my internship. How do I complete the Host Country Contact Information Form?
