Workshops

The Center will sponsor two to three workshops or advanced summer schools per year. Each event will bring 20-30 researchers to campus to explore themes on frontier topics in applied mathematics that are related to the yearly focus of the Center.

Public Lectures

A monthly seminar series will be held featuring distinguished outside speakers. The speakers will be chosen consistent with the annual theme of the Center.

Van Loo Postdoctoral Fellowship Program
The Center will sponsor this program to recruit the most talented and promising young applied mathematicians at an early stage of their careers. Up to three new Fellows will be selected per academic year for a three- year term. Fellows will be chosen by means of an international search and will have complete independence in their choice of research direction.

Short-term visitors program
The Center will host a short-term visitors program. Stays of up 2- 3 months will be supported. Visitors will normally be expected to deliver a short course of lectures on a topic related to the annual theme of the Center.
