Film Screening of Abrazos and Q&A with Filmmaker Luis Argueta

Join the 53rd Ann Arbor Film Festival, the Latina/o Studies Program, and the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies for a screening of Abrazos. Abrazos tells the story of the transformational journey of a group of U.S. citizen children who travel 3,000 miles from Minnesota to Guatemala to meet their grandparents for the first time. After being separated for nearly two decades, these families are able to share stories, strengthen tarditions and begin to reconstruct their cultural identity. More information about the movie.

Following the screening, there will be a Q&A with filmmaker Luis Argueta.
