This proposal addresses the need for a better integration of field like experiences into Geoscience classrooms on the Ann Arbor campus. I propose to bridge the gap between field and classroom-based learning of the Earth;sciences using video content acquired from courses I teach at Camp Davis, WY, and from videos I collect while conducting geology fieldwork around;the world. All video content will be edited to provide ~10 second to;several minute long video bites that can be easily integrated into power;point lectures, and accessible through the web at www.videoscience.org.;Additional benefits of this project include the training of a young faculty member in a new technology (video filming and editing), integration of results into undergraduate courses, and free distribution of results for use in other universities via the web.
