Any course on Shakespeare's plays is inherently a multi-media course, as studying a play requires some appreciation of somatic effects. In my lecture course, I introduce my students to a range of different materials, including film clips of certain scenes from nearly every play we study. I also regularly introduce images from the period: portraits of Queen Elizabeth, for example, or images of textual traces of the play in question. Incorporating these disparate materials into my lectures is technologically challenging.
