Our project will be geared towards developing a best-practices approach to teaching writing in one section each of ENG 125 and ENG 225, using primarily digital (but also selected traditional) writing instruction methods in one section of each, and primarily traditional methods in the remaining two sections. The project creates, in effect, a computer-equipped mobile classroom, by supplying all course participants with similarly outfitted netbooks, along with connectivity to link everyone involved into a closed network. Thus, we will teach students freed from the limitations of the physical classroom, while maintaining access to beneficial computing resources.
