The Other Camera explores the world from the standpoint of participatory, and community photographers. It poses important questions - how do photographers from communities in Africa and specifically South Africa photograph their own people, environment, cultures and events? More importantly, it asks how vernacular photography developed and how it has reframed itself in relation to modernity, transformation and globalization. more
