Substance-Free Community

In keeping with HSSP’s commitment to a healthy residential and educational environment, all HSSP rooms and corridors are designated as substance-free living spaces. HSSP members and their guests are prohibited from storing or using tobacco, alcohol, and/or illegal drugs, or engaging in behavior associated with those activities that may be disruptive to the wider HSSP community. Since our program's inception, HSSP members have overwhelmingly supported the Substance-Free Community Standard, which we feel reflects our program's emphasis on creating a productive pre-professional environment, enhances the community's academic preparedness, and helps to encourage a safer, healthier, and more positive co-curricular experience.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about HSSP's Substance-Free Community Standard. See University Housing's explanation of substance-free rooms for more information on this important residential offering.
