"The Importance of a Liberal Education in the Electronic Era"

Jon D. Miller, Research Scientist, Center for Political Studies, Institute for Social Research and Research Scientist, Educational Studies, School of Education

Dr. Miller has spent much of his career analyzing the scientific literacy of the US population and studying the relationships among science, citizenship, and education.  He has recently extended his research to take competence in humanities into account.  In this effort, he has been working closely with the national headquarters of the Phi Beta Kappa Society.
This program is sponsored by the Alpha of Michigan chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa Society.  Members of the Executive Committee will be there to answer any questions you may have about PBK.  We dedicate this program to the commemoration of the fiftieth anniversary of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
