ePerformance Step by Step Instructions for Employees

Spring ePerformance 2017

Part I:  Log into ePerformance

  • Click on the link provided by People Admin or go to the following link: (link coming soon)
  • For first time users
    • Username will be your uniquename
    • Password will be your uniquename
    • Change your password to something that you will easily remember
  • Bookmark the website for future use
  • Once logged in you should see your Employee Portal

Part II: Work Plan

  • Click on the Plan Icon (Orange Flag) or select Work Plan from the menu on the left side of your screen
  • Enter your UM ID
  • Cut and paste your current work plan into the system
  • Add KARs as needed by hitting ‘Add Entry’ after each KAR has been added
  • Hit ‘Save Draft’ in order to save your work.
  • When you are done entering in your KARs in your work plan hit ‘Save Draft’ and then ‘Next’.
  • At the bottom of the page click the blue ‘Complete’ button.
    • A notification should be sent to your supervisor that you have completed the Work Plan in the system and they will approve the work plan.

Part III: Self Evaluation

  • After your supervisor has approved your Work Plan in the system, you will see a new icon on your Employee Portal called  ‘Self Evaluation’.  Click the icon or select the ‘Self Evaluation from the menu on the left side of your screen.
  • You will now see your KARs that you entered as before with a difference.  At the bottom of each KAR you entered you will see a drop down box where you will select the rating that best fits how you did in the last year with that KAR.
    • Any rating other than ‘Meets Expectations’ will require you to put additional information in comments to support your rating choice.
  • Continue this process for every one of your KARs.  You can hit ‘Save Draft’ at the bottom of the page to save your progress.
  • When you are done assessing your KARs hit the ‘Next’ button at the bottom
  • You will now see information on Conflict of Interest and Commitment
    • This is just an informational page for you to review to prepare to talk about with your supervisor.
  • After reading the section, hit the blue ‘Complete’ button.  You are now done with the self appraisal and you do not need to do anything further until after you have gone through your appraisal with your supervisor.

Part IV: Employee Acknowledgement of Appraisal

  • After you have gone over your appraisal with your supervisor, you will see an icon on your Employee Portal called ‘Supervisor Evaluation’.  Click this icon or select this from the menu on the left side of your screen.
  • Once you enter supervisor evaluation, you will not be able to alter the evaluation.  After the COI/COC section you will see a blue button for ‘Agree’ to select that confirms that you have received your appraisal. Click this button.  You may add additional comments if you feel are necessary.
    • NOTE:  This acknowledgement is that you receive your appraisal from your supervisor.  It is not a confirmation or agreement to the rating.  If you have questions about your rating, please work with your supervisor or Human Resources.

You are now done with ePerformance for Spring 2017.  Work Plans will open up for the 2017-2018 year on July 1, 2017.
