Faculty Task Force

Dean Andrew Martin has charged a task force, comprised of faculty from all three divisions, to generate strategies to recruit and retain a diverse faculty.

Their charge is three-fold: to develop an analysis of the problem, to generate possible solutions, and to identify metrics for success. The College seeks to develop and implement practices that are fully compliant with federal and state law.

To date, the task force has been reviewing and evaluating LSA’s patterns of faculty recruitment, climate and retention, and career advising. As part of these efforts, we have compiled an archive of resources about best practices and efforts to increase faculty diversity currently underway at universities across the US.
