The Eisenberg Institute for Historical Studies will award one full-time Postdoctoral Fellowship for the 2017-2018 academic year. This fellowship is designed to provide recent University of Michigan history or joint history PhD’s the opportunity to teach two undergraduate courses while pursuing revisions of their dissertations for publication. This award has been funded by a generous gift from Kenneth and Frances Aftel Eisenberg.
This fellow will form an integral part of the institute community and is expected to participate regularly in institute events. The Postdoctoral Fellow will develop and lead one of the institute’s Friday workshops during the fellowship term. (This is a new program intended to give the fellow a chance to help shape the institute’s program in the coming year.)
The application deadline is March 31, 2017. See application (below) for additional details and eligibility.
