Graduate Student Research Fellowships

The Eisenberg Institute for Historical Studies will award up to six Graduate Student Research Fellowships in the amount of $5,000 each for the 2017-18 academic year. These fellowships aim to assist outstanding graduate students in pursuing their dissertation research. This fellowship program has been funded by a generous gift from Kenneth and Frances Aftel Eisenberg.

Graduate Fellows form a core part of the institute community and are expected to participate regularly in institute events. Graduate Fellows will collaborate in designing/organizing two of the eight Friday workshops presented in 2017-18. (This is a new program; giving the fellows greater autonomy in shaping coherent scholarly forums around matters of interest to them. Fellows will convene in April 2017 shortly after the awards have been announced to begin the planning process.)

This application is due March 10, 2017. Link below for additional details (Word and PDF files are available for each application component). Both application components may be submitted via email.
