EEB, SNRE and the Detroit Black Community Food Security Network team up to perform a rapid biodiversity assessment.
This year the University of Michigan Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, School of Natural Resources and the Environment, and the Detroit Black Community Food Security Network are partnering up to conduct the BioBlitz at D-Town Farm. During BioBlitz a rapid biodiversity assessment is conducted.
If you are interested in learning more about the event and how you can help, please complete this poll. A volunteer informational meeting will be held on Friday, May 1 at 5 p.m., location TBD.
- Species identification volunteer (help groups with species identification)
- Group leaders (help coordinating small groups and running the activities within the group)
- Logistics (material distribution, event flow, etc.)
- Media (recording, pictures)
