Thursday, November 6, 2014
12:00 AM
826michigan, 115 East Liberty Street, Ann Arbor, Mich., 48104

U-M EEB graduate student and bat expert Jeff Shi presents this writing workshop on how to tell bat fact from bat fiction, and learn, like all good scientists and writers, how to ground your stories in reality in order to tell the best tales.

We all know – or think we know – a lot of bats. They are infamous in the public perception, sucking blood, spreading disease, turning into vampires, and running into everything (like you) because they’re so blind. Join bat expert (ecologist and evolutionary biologist) Jeff Shi for a workshop on how to tell bat fact from bat fiction, and learn, like all good scientists and writers, how to ground your stories in reality in order to tell the best tales. Costumes (batty or otherwise) encouraged! Registration starts soon.
