Congratulations to doctoral student Alexander Persaud on receiving one of three New Researcher Prizes from the Economic History Society (EHS). At their annual conference, EHS awarded prizes to three researchers who produced exemplary papers in the categories of Medieval and Early Modern Work, Nineteenth-Century Industry and Business, and Banks in Crisis.

Persaud’s award was based on his paper, "Risk mitigation and selection under forward contracts: nineteenth-century Indian indentureship" in the Nineteenth-Century Industry and Business Category.
