The University of Michigan Department of Economics is ranked 12th (up from 14th) in the world according to the recently released Tilburg University’s Top 100 Worldwide Economics Schools Research Ranking. The Department ranks 11th (up from 13th) in the U.S. and 2nd (up from 3rd) in public universities.
The Tilburg rankings are based on publications in a subset of 68 leading economics journals in econometrics, economics, and finance during a five-year time period, 2006-2010.
