Dual Degree Applicants

The MAE program accepts dual-degree applications from U-M students currently in another Rackham graduate program. Current graduate students are eligible to apply once they have completed the first semester in their home program.

A dual degree can combine applied economics with public policy, environment and sustainability, statistics, data science, mathematics, engineering, and other fields. For information about dual degree options, please see the Rackham Graduate School website here and here.

U-M students currently in a Rackham graduate program can apply via the Rackham Graduate Program Dual Admission Application. For details, see the information under the "Dual Admission" heading here. A link to the application is included under "Application Submission." Applicants are required to submit a resume/CV, statement of purpose explaining their interest in pursuing the MAE degree, current U-M unofficial transcript, and a copy of their official undergraduate transcript. (A GRE score report is optional.)

The online application opens in late August. The deadline to apply for Fall 2024 admission is February 1, 2024. We will begin reviewing applications in January. Admission is for the following fall term.
