Matthew D. Cabell is the President of Seneca Resources Corporation, the Exploration and Production subsidiary of National Fuel Gas Company.  Seneca produces oil and natural gas primarily from fields in California and Pennsylvania.

Mr. Cabell joined Seneca in December 2006 with more than 26 years experience in the energy industry.  Prior to joining Seneca, Matt was Executive Vice President of Marubeni Oil & Gas, where he was responsible for building a substantial U.S. exploration and production subsidiary for a Japanese trading company.  Matt also spent 13 years at Texaco, including 5 years as Vice President of Gulf of Mexico Exploration, and 6 years in various positions at Amerada Hess.

Mr. Cabell is on the Board of Directors of America’s Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA) and the American Exploration and Production Council (AXPC).  He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology from the University of Michigan and a Masters of Business Administration from Cornell University.
