"Mediterranean Topographies: Interdisciplinary and Comparative Approaches to Mediterranean Studies”

A symposium on transnational, cross-cultural, comparative, and interdisciplinary approaches to he study of the Mediterranean as a region of interconnected histories and identities. A roundtable discussion will include UM faculty members Andrew Shryok (Anthropology), Artemis Leontis (Modern Greek Studies), Dario Gaggio (European History), Frieda Ekotto (Romance Languages and Comparative Literature), Kader Konuk (German and Comparative Literature), Karla Malette (Romance Languages and Literatures), Megan Holmes (Art History), Nadine Naber (American Culture and Women’s Studies). This event is coordinated by the Mediterranean Topographies Interdisciplinary Workshop and co-sponsored by the Department of Comparative Literature’s “Year of Comparison.”
