Climate Change in the Great Lakes Region

The University of Michigan Biological Station (UMBS) is offering the nationally-competitive Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Program, pending funding from the National Science Foundation. Spend nine weeks in Northern Michigan, developing and implementing a research project.

Program Highlights:

  • be mentored by a faculty researcher or research team
  • conduct ecological research and prepare a scientific paperparticipate in a discussion group with other REU participants
  • receive a stipend of $5,000, free room and board at UMBS, and travel allowance

Duration: June 20 - August 19, 2017

Who can apply? The program is open to rising juniors and seniors from any college.
