Graduate Student Instructor (GSI) Positions

The Department of Asian Languages and Cultures is allocated Graduate Student Instructor (GSI) positions from the College of LS&A for both language and culture courses. First priority for these positions goes to our own students. ALC then posts the remaining positions for graduate students from other departments.

The Department of Asian Languages and Cultures is not looking for any more Fall 2014 GSIs at this time. Please check back regularly, as new postings will be placed here and on when they arise.

The application process is two-fold. Students should first go to the Careers at the U homepage and click on "Graduate Student Appointments" to search for the available positions by their job ID numbers.  After applying for the job there,  students should then fill out the application contained on this page.  Students should submit the completed application, along with all requested documents to Ashlee Wolfe by the posting end date. Application materials can be emailed to as attachments or dropped off at the ALC department office (202 South Thayer Street, suite 6111). Applicants should arrange to have recommendation letters sent directly to by the recommender. Although meeting the deadline is preferable, recommendation letters will be accepted after the deadline.
