Kelly Askew's film ‘The Chairman and the Lions’ has been selected to screen at the prestigious ethnographic film festival, the 31st Jean Rouch International Film Festival.   About the multiple challenges facing a Maasai village, ‘The Chairman and the Lions’  was produced in collaboration with people from the village. Peter Biella, chair of the anthropology department at San Francisco State University, directed.  It will be shown during this year's festival, November 10-16, at the Maison des Cultures du Monde, Paris.
