Michigan League Underground
The theme of this year’s battle is centered around “the Blues”—an extremely influential genre of music that is deeply rooted in American history.
This is a two part event. The first part is a dialogue to discuss the influence of the Blues on modern day music. We have invited Dr. Bruce Conforth to speak and perform at the dialogue, which will occur on February 21st from 5-7pm.
The second part of the event is a competition between local beat makers for a chance to perform in our year end block party-style event, Vanguards. The battle will be held on February 22 from 7-10:00 p.m. in the Michigan league Underground.
