Contemporary Research in Arab American Studies: New Trends and Critical Perspectives A Conference Honoring Michael Suleiman Fee $20; registration required This gathering of scholars, writers, and community members honors Dr. Michael Suleiman, a pioneer in the field of Arab American Studies, who passed away in 2010. The conference will feature scholarly presentations, readings, and performances highlighting the diverse approaches to contemporary research in Arab American Studies. Registration is $20 (students $10) and includes all panels, a Friday evening reception and lunch all three days. Discounted rates have been negotiated at The DoubleTree Hotel - Dearborn/Detroit, 5801 Southfield Expressway, Detroit, MI 48228 313.336.3340. The room block is held under the title "Racial-Healing conference – Michael Suleiman.” Room rate is $85 per night not including taxes.
