Title:  "The Articulate Codex in Early Medieval Iberia"

Abstract:
The Latin monastic scribes of early medieval Iberia were remarkably garrulous, recording in their great illuminated manuscripts not only their names but also--and in extraordinary detail--the dates, times, qualities, and conditions of their labor.
